  • For any commercial or professional establishment assigned a number of billing Equivalent Dwelling Units (EDUs) pursuant to this section, annual adjustment to the Authority’s records pertaining to the number and type of employees of such property location will be made.

  • To facilitate such adjustment, the Authority shall require the owner of any such property on which is situated the commercial and/or professional establishment to complete and submit the annual Commercial/Professional /Retail Survey Form.

  • If the survey form is not submitted, a Certificate of Employees and a N.J. Department of Labor Form UC-27, for the most recent quarter, will be required.

  • In the event the owner of such property does not make these submissions, the Authority, based upon estimates of employee numbers and types, will make an assignment of billable EDUs.

  • In no event shall the annual sewer rental charges fall below a minimum value defined as the number of EDUs allocated to the property location for which sewer connection fees have been paid, assessed base user fees, which are determined and set and, from time to time, revised subsequent to a Public Hearing.

NOTE:
If an applicant should not fit into one of these categories, the Authority, with the advice of its Consulting Engineer, shall determine the appropriate number of Sewer Rental Units and Connection Fees; and shall enter into a separate Agreement with the applicant, should the Authority’s Legal Counsel and Consulting Engineer deem such course of action advisable.

If the above schedule results in fractional units, the number of units shall be rounded to the next ¼ (.25) of a unit.

Any adjustment to the number of units billed will be done annually based on the information provided on the Commercial/Professional/Retail Survey Form. There will be no retroactive billing adjustments.

DELINQUENT PAYMENTS:

Interest at the rate of Eighteen Percent (18%) per year (New Jersey Statute 40:14B-41) are required by statute to be assessed on Rental Charges not paid by the due date.
